Fastest Climb up Mount Washington Record

The fastest climb up the Mt. Washington Auto Road was done by Legend Travis Pastrana in 2017. His race up the Mount Washington Auto Road was done in just 5 minutes, 44.72 seconds from the base to the summit. Anyone who has driven the Mt. Washington Auto Road will know this is not only fast, but a scary ride, even at 10 mph!

The record for the fastest drive up the Mt. Washington Auto Road has been attempted, and successfully done many times in the past as part of the Mt. Washington Hillclimb Auto Race. The Hillclimb Auto Race started in 1904 and ended in 1961, but then started again in 1990.
