Sabbaday Falls NH: Kancamagus Highway Waterfall
Sabbaday Falls is located on the Kancamagus Highway in Albany NH. The parking area at Sabbaday Falls accommodates quite a few visitors as this is one of the most frequently visited waterfalls in NH. The easy .3 mile hike along the wide, crushed stone path, and easy elevation gain, along with the shear beauty of Sabbaday Falls make it very popular. In the parking area, you will find bathrooms and a nearby picnic area with picnic tables along the Sabbaday Brook. The trail leading to Sabbaday Falls tells the story of how Sabbaday Falls was formed. You will also learn about the Basalt dike and how a shifted fault line is responsible for the sudden right turn in the falls.
Sabbaday Brook Trail follows the falls with stairs and has log railings. Use caution with children as it is possible for young kids to slip under the railing here. The area is well traveled and well maintained.
Sabbaday Falls has a total drop of 45 feet and is fed by Sabbaday Brook.
No swimming is allowed at Sabbaday Falls.
Sabbaday Falls is a very power waterfall. Lots of water flow, especially in the Springtime during the Spring thaw.
Directions to Sabbaday Falls: On Rt. 112 (the Kancamagus Highway in Albany) Parking area for Sabbaday Falls is very well marked. See photo of signage below. Sabbaday Falls is located 7.4 miles West of Lower Falls and 5.7 miles West of Rocky Gorge, all three are located along the Kancamagus Highway in New Hampshire. Are there any falls along the kancamagus hwy. that are handicapped accessible.
Yes, Rocky Gorge (not quite a waterfall but still an amazing site) is easily accessible. Also, Sabbaday Falls may also be accessible, but not as easy to navigate due to its pathway not being paved. Its more of a crushed stone… the last time we were there anyway.
