Key to Escape is an escape room facility located in Nashua, NH. The games are created custom and new ones continue to be created. There are four main rooms in the facility and are private for one person’s group only. The Western Whistle is the newest room of them all and people have to find their way back from an 1880’s saloon. It’s a 60 minute game that requires a 2 person minimum and a 6 person maximum capacity. This room is labeled as standard difficulty and participants have to be at least 14 years or older. Then there is the House in the Woods that is based upon the Hansel and Gretel nursery rhyme. It’s a 60 minute game that requires a 4 person minimum and 8 person maximum capacity. This room has been labeled as kid-friendly, beginner, and also standard and participants have to be at least 10 years or older. There is also the Cuckoo’s Nest which gives participants a visit into a 1940’s insane asylum. This is a 60 minute game that requires a 4 person minimum and 8 person maximum capacity. This room has been labeled as beginner, standard, and also challenging and participants have to be 16 years or older. The final room is The Incident which questions participants ability to party like it’s 1999. This room offers a 60 or 90 minute game option that has a 4 person minimum and 8 person maximum capacity. This room has also been labeled as beginner, standard, and challenging and participants have to be at least 14 years or older. Key to Escape is open Friday evenings, all day Saturday and Sunday afternoons. If people have any questions about difficulty, age, or private adventures they encourage to call them before booking.

Every room in the facility has a clearly marked emergency exit with no locking mechanism so participants are never truly locked in and always have access to the emergency exit. This facility and their games have been inspected and approved by the Fire Marshal of the Nashua area.

For each game, there is a employee who will monitor the process throughout the game and will be able to provide hints along the way. It costs $29 per individual ticket for a 60 minute game, or $35 per individual ticket for a 90 minute game during the regularly scheduled hours. The facility asks that people arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. All the games begin at their scheduled time and anyone who arrives late will not be allowed to play. Additional hours may be accommodated for in the case of a private event which includes Monday through Thursday 9am to 9pm and Friday 9am to 4pm. If children are under the age limit for the room they want to try and escape from then a parent or guardian must be present. The Cuckoo’s Nest is the only room on the first floor and is the only room with wheelchair accessibility. In the event of bad weather, the facility may choose to close to ensure the safety of their staff and customers. If they choose to cancel a booking, they will call and then will be rescheduled for a later date. If there is still winter weather but decide not to close, their facility des recognize that people may not want to travel in the weather and people may call their number to reschedule a booking. Rescheduling must then be booked within 30 days of the original booking.

Private events need to call for a reservation. Private events include birthday parties, sports team building, church or social clubs, corporate team building, bachelorette/bachelor parties, family game night and more. A conference room, two meeting areas, and people’s choice of escape adventures are available to rent. The conference room can hold up to 18 people and has an 8 inch whiteboard. A video projector, easel, and flip charts are also available options for this room. This facility also includes a multi-purpose area used for catering, meetings, and a lounge area for larger gatherings. This area can hold up to 32 people. There is also an area for birthday parties and a catering area that can hold up to 16 people. Birthday parties for 12 to 16 year olds require a parent or guardian to accompany the group in the escape room adventure. This facility also offers a live video viewing of the escape room event to parents/guardians in the conference room.
