Lakes of the Clouds Hike

Lakes of the Clouds hike can be a grueling hike for many. This difficult 4-1/2 mile (approximately) hike should be left to the experienced hiker. There have been some hikers who claim to have had little hiking experience making this hike but we have to urge anyone considering this hike to get some experience first and it’s always best to go with another hiker who has done this hike previously. Those who accomplish the hike to Lakes of the Clouds are rewarded with one of the best huts in New England, the Lakes of the Clouds Hut, operated by the Appalachian Mountain Club is a 36 bed hut built in 1915 to protect hikers.

There are many amazing things to be seen at Lakes of the Clouds, from bird watching to beautiful sunsets.
