The NH state quarter displays an image of an iconic enormous rock formation called the “Old Man of the Mountain” which was once seen on the side of a mountain in Franconia Notch, but not any more! What happened to the Old Man of the Mountain?
The New Hampshire state quarter was engraved by William Cousins and features the Old Man of the Mountain, the 9 stars, and the NH state motto “Live Free or Die”
The NH state quarter (Aka NH state coin by some) was released on August 7, 2000, since then over 1.1 million NH state quarters have been minted.
