Jigger Johnson Campground is located along the Kancamagus Highway in NH. Campground fill quickly on weekends during the summer. This is the busiest campground along the Kancamagus Scenic Byway. Sites are available on a first come, first serve basis so be sure to plan accordingly. Getting there early and waiting for check-in can be helpful. Your best bet is to be there mid-week to rent the site and occupy it.

Jigger Johnson Campground is the only campground on the Kancamagus Highway that offers showers. The showers are coin operated so be sure to bring quarters with you.

Next to Jigger Johnson Campground is the Russell Colbath Historic Site. Be sure to set aside some time to walk over and take a trip back in time. Occasionally (mostly on weekends) there may be a volunteer there to give a tour of the inside of the house.
