The drive around Lake
Winnipesaukee takes about 2 hours depending on
traffic,
any stops you make and the roads you choose. The roads that take
you around the lake may include Rt. 28, Rt. 28A, Rt. 11, Rt.
11B, Rt. 109, Rt. 25 and Rt. 3. These roads will take you
through some of the most scenic, historical and popular places
in New Hampshire like Meredith, Weirs Beach, Alton Bay,
Wolfeboro, Center Harbor, and Tuftonboro, New Hampshire.

Alton Bay Boat Launch "Downing's Landing"
This boat ramp is just one of the places on Lake Winnipesaukee
where you can launch your boat. It also offers gas. Downing's
Landing boat ramp is located on Rt. 11 at the very Southern tip
of Alton Bay at Lake Winnipesaukee.

Lake Winnipesaukee Scenic Viewing Areas
The scenic viewing areas along Lake Winnipesaukee offer some of
the best views of the lake. On Rt. 28 in Alton, there is a
scenic viewing area along the side of Rt. 28.

viewing area. This is more of a pull-off but offers some great

Snowmobile Trail Parking Area
There are approximate 7,000 miles of snowmobile trails around
the state of New Hampshire. There are many snowmobile trails
around Lake Winnipesaukee. Finding a parking area for your
vehicle and trailer can sometimes be a little difficult. One
location is called Nineteen Mile Bay Parking Lot. This is
located on the Governor John Wentworth Highway (Rt. 109) on
Tuftonboro, NH.

Cruise Ship docks in a few different locations. This
isn't a complete list. If you are visiting Lake Winnipesaukee a
cruise on the MS Mount Washington Cruise Ship is a must! They
take you through a guided tour of Lake Winnipesaukee, bring your
camera! When your done, be sure to hop aboard the Hobo Railroad

The Hobo Railroad (Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad) is a great way
to take in all the views Lake Winnipesaukee has to offer. The

board the train for a slow moving ride around the lake.

Fun Places for All Ages
Fun Spot
Fun Spot has been an iconic part of the Lake Winnipesaukee
region for many years and is a great way to spend the day with
the family. Funspot is the largest arcade in the world,
recognized by Guinness World Records! Fun Spot offers video games in their arcade,
bowling, indoor mini golf, a bingo hall and food. Across the
street is also a place that has a Go Cart track. You won't get
bored here! Fun Spot is located in Laconia, NH.

Weirs Beach Drive-in Movie Theater
The drive-in movie theater at Weirs Beach is a great way to end
the evening at Lake Winnipesaukee. They are located at 76
Endicott St (Rt. 3) at Weirs Beach (right across from the Weirs
Beach waterslide and the Weirs Beach Arrow. The drive in Theater
has 4 screens and each screen has a double feature. You only pay
once to get in and you can watch both movies if you wish. Box
office opens at 7:00pm and the movies start at dusk.

a hot summer day! Mini Golf is also offered nearby. The Weirs

Meadowbrook US Cellular Pavilion
Meadowbrook US Cellular Pavilion offers some of the best outdoor
music concerts around Lake Winnipesaukee! They always have a
great line up of all kinds of music singers from the rock and
roll music of ZZ Top to Country Music singers like Brooks and
Dunn. Meadowbrook is located on Meadowbrook Lane off of Rt. 11B
in Gilford.

Prescott Farm Environmental Education Center
Prescott Farm Environmental Education Center (PFEEC) is a
non-profit center that offers year-round environmental education
for all ages including WildQuest vacation camps, family and
youth programs. The 160-acre historic family farm features
woodland and field trails, a “green” building with geothermal
and solar energy systems, historic barns, an old-fashioned maple
sugaring operation, heritage gardens, and a forested pond.

Nordic Skier Wolfeboro Cross Country utilizes the Sewall Woods
