Top 7 Amusement Parks in New Hampshire

New Hampshire’s amusement parks are a great way to spend a fun filled day with the family. Here is a list of 7 of the top amusement parks in New Hampshire.

Mel's Funway Park Litchfield NH

Mels Funway Park is located in Litchfield.  You can get an all day pass Monday through Thursday for only $45.  This pass gives you unlimited rides on Go-Karts, Batting Cages, laser tag, Laser Maze, Mini Golf and Driving Range.  Their hours vary depending on the attraction.  The batting cages at Mels Funway Park in Litchfield are open Monday through Thursday from noon-9pm where as the Go-Karts and mini golf runs 1:30pm-9pm.  Friday the batting cages are open noon-10pm but the Go-Karts and mini golf are open from 1:30pm-10pm.  Saturday, every attraction is open from 10am-10pm and Sunday, the batting cages and the mini golf are open 10am-9pm where as the Go-Karts run from noon-9pm.

The Go-Karts were voted the #1 Go Kart track in NH.  It is a 1/5 track. One ride is $8.00 and 5 rides of 12 laps around the track is $35.00.  The two 18 hole mini golf courses goes over bridges, under waterfalls and through rock formations.  $7 will get you one game.

There are so many things to do at Mel’s so check it out today.

Storyland is located in Glen NH

Storyland is located in Glen NH.  Storyland is a fantasy theme park.  It will definitely take you back to your childhood.  There are rides, shows and attractions.  Some of my favorite’s rides at Storyland are Alice and Wonderland Tea Cup (which are giant tea cups that you can spin around), Crazy Barn (which is a barn replica that rises off the ground and spins around) and Bamboo Cutes (Where you get totally soaked).  The Royal Circus is the most popular show at Storyland.  Everybody loves the circus no matter how old or young you are.  The circus shows run at noon, 2pm and 4pm.

Admission costs for Storyland are:  $25 for ages 3 and up, $23 for senior citizens and ages 3 and under is free.  They also have group rates and season passes available.

Storyland is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day.  Hours are as follows:  9am-5pm May, June and September, July and August they are open from 9am-6pm.

Daytona Fun Park Weirs Beach, Laconia NH

Daytona Fun Park is located in Weirs Beach in the heart of Laconia.  The park is fun for the whole family with bumper boats, Go-Karts, mini golf and a trampoline bungee jumper.  The park is open daily from 10am-11pm.

The pricing is as folows:  mini golf is $6.75 for adults and $5.75 for children 12 and under.  The Bungee Jumper is $10.00 per person.  The Go-Karts are $6.50 for one ride, $18 for 3 rides and $60 for 10 rides.  The Batting cages are $3 for 14 pitches.

Santa’s Village Jefferson NH

Santa’s Village. located in Jefferson NH has something for everyone.  They are open select days in May, June, September, October, November and December.  They are open every day July and August.  The hours they are open depend on the season.  It feels like Christmas year round at Santa’s Village.  The Peppermint Twist is my favorite ride.  I am not sure why it is called a twist because it is actually a boat that is a roller coaster.  The Himalaya is my favorite ride wherever I go.  If you like fast rides, you will love the Himalaya.  If you like rides that get you wet, then the Yule Log Flume is the perfect ride for you.

The admission prices are as follows:  $24 for ages 4 and up, $22 for senior citizens and ages 3 and under is free.

Whales Tale Waterpark Lincoln, NH

Whales Tale Waterpark is located in the heart of Lincoln.  It was recently named “Best in class Water Park in America” by Aquatics International Magazine.  If you go to Whales Tale, you have to check out “Eye of the Storm.”  You feel like you are in the center of a hurricane.  You go through this dark area before you are thrusted back into the eye of the storm.  And let me tell you, you go fast.  Other great water rides are Harpoon Express which is 400 feet long and 7 feet wide.  It is like riding a bobsled except you are on water.  The Plunge is a lot of fun too.  It is a very fast plunge down.  If relaxing in the water is more your thing, then the giant wave pool is the perfect solution.

Whales Tale is open June 8th- Labor Day.  The hours vary according to the season.  Admission is free for those under the age of 3 and over the age of 70.  Admission prices vary by season.

Fort Jefferson Fun Park in Jefferson, NH

(formally Six Gun City)

Fort Jefferson Fun Park is located in Jefferson.  This place has so much to see and do.  It is definitely a great place for the whole family to enjoy.  July and August they are open from 9:30am-6pm and May, June and September they are open from 10am-5pm.

No matter what your taste is, you are likely to find it at Fort Jefferson Fun Park in Jefferson NH.  If water rides are your thing, then you will love the log boats, bumper boats and pedal boats.  Do you get wild with laser tag?  Fort Jeffeson Fun Park has a state-of-the-art laser tag arena.  Do you like to shop?  Then hand out at either the Trading Post or the General Store.

GPS Coordinates Location: N44° 23.128' | W 071° 25.374'

Canobie Lake Park Salem, NH

Canobie Lake Park is located in Salem.  I remember my aunt and uncle taking me there when I was a kid and I took my kids there when they were small.  It is amazing how much it has changed and expanded over the years.  My favorite ride then and now is the Crazy Cups.  They are just like the tea cups.  The Boston Tea Party is a wild and wet log ride.  The Frisbee is a newer ride and it is fun but I have to tell you it is not for the faint of heart. You know how you throw a Frisbee back and forth and it spins?  Well yeah, that is what you are doing on this ride.  You are hanging from a pendulum, swinging back and forth and spinning around very fast.

Canobie Lake is open every day for the months of July and August and select days for the months of May, June and September.  The hours of operation depend on the season.

Rates are $30 for general admission, except under 48 inches and over the age of 60 are $21 and under 3 are free.

And there you have it….the 7 top amusement parks in New Hampshire.
