  • NH Ski Areas

    Hi,

We just moved to New Hampshire and are looking forward to doing some skiing. I see there are many choices for ski areas!

We're looking for a ski area in NH that is nice but not over crowded. An out of the way place is fine, we just like skiing without the crowds.

    Thanks!

    Richard,

We have been to many ski areas in NH and found that the less busy ones tend to be:
    Gunstock Ski Area
    Attitash Ski Area
    Bretton Woods Ski Area
    Cranmore Mountain Ski Area
    and Crotched Mountain Ski Area

Not in that order but those are the ones we have found less busy. Some of the ski areas above we have not been to very much, like Crotched Mountain Ski Area for example, but the times that we have been there, there really hasn't been too many people there.

The best advice is to take time off during the week and go skiing then, when most people are at work or school, the ski areas are much less busy. We take our vacation time slowly throughout the year and break it up so that we can go skiing on a Monday morning for example. It makes a big difference and its a lot more fun to ski when the crowds are gone.

The other good part of skiing on a weekday is that the slopes are well groomed and not many people beating them up.

Thanks for the information. We used to go skiing during the week also for the cheaper rates mostly and the less crowds were a bonus!

We will check out those ski areas in NH!

      Thanks!!!

There are so many choice ski areas on this place. Some resorts do offer a very tempting offers for skiing.
