The ship offers different wedding packages and receptions to those who are interested. Couples may even choose to be married legally by the ship’s captain in exchange for a small fee. The ship can carry up to 500 guests for a dinner (sit-down), and 800 passengers for a full wedding reception. This will then be considered as a full ship charter.

    The fleet of the Mt. Washington Cruises consists of the 230-foot MS Mt. Washington, plus 2 smaller vessels, the MV Doris E. and the MV Sophie C. It was in 1872 that the cruise ship first traveled on New Hampshire’s Lake Winnipesaukee, with an engine that was steam-powered. It was in 2010 that the ship started going “green.” The ship is now powered by twin diesel engines that are environmentally friendly, as the engines are capable of reducing pollution up to 90%. The project was made a success due to an EPA grant that assisted the funding.
