    Haunted Places in NH

Jon, Mike and myself (Josh) work for a dealership in Concord, NH. Mike came up with the idea of going on a "haunting run" to find haunted places in New Hampshire.

The first stop was Stark Road - "There is a grave yard on the left hand side of the road. At night the grave yard glows and you see two big red eyes that follow you all the way up or down Stark Road."

We thought this was in Concord (thanks to Mike not reading thoroughly) and ended up getting lost on Stark St. - Stark Rd. is actually in Conway, NH. Unfortunately nothing happened.

Second stop was Indian Rock Rd. in Nashua, NH. I've heard the stories from friends that this road was haunted. So, I was excited to check it out.

The story goes, "Back along time ago there was a house built next to a cemetery. A family lived there but one night there was someone who broke into the house and the whole family was killed, yet the youngest of the family, which was a little boy, was running out of the house until he ran into the road hoping for someone to be there to help him. Unfortunately, he was shot in the back. Now in our times a lot of youths like to travel that road at night and sometimes the little boy can be seen on the side of the road and or will jump out in front of your car looking for help, you can see the tire marks from all the times he was jumped in front of the cars. Not only may you see a little boy but also there are clots out there that like to have the cemetery for where they meet." This story is wrong. This story actually belongs to Pine Hill Cemetery (Blood Cemetery) in Hollis, NH. Of course if we knew that, we would have checked it out.

Indian Rock road is a dark and wooded road about 5 miles from Pine Hill Cemetery. The road leads to a meadow, which is a popular hangout for the local youths. The right story is that when walking along the road, one experiences cold spots and the intense feeling of being watched by some malevolent force. The woods seem as if they are about to swallow the road whole."

This is when the fun began. We drove to the end of the road expecting to witness both haunted stories. When we got to the end of the road it turned out to be a dead end due to some broken trees placed over a dirt road. We parked the car turned of the lights and took some pictures, which I've added. One shows an orb just above the wood and another shows an orb above the same wood later when we returned a second time. Both times I took after pics and nothing was there. Now the freaky thing was my buddy and boss Jon thought he saw something move further down the road. We would've checked it out but Mike chickened out and wanted to get the hell out of there, because he thought the cops were going to show up. A very likely excuse to hide his fear that something was watching us. This is when we headed out to check the haunted stories about the Gilson Rd. Cemetery in Nashua, NH.

I've been there many times before and never experienced anything. The story we read goes, "Many sightings of 'Misty People' have been reported haunting the cemetery. It is said that if you walk from the front of the entrance to the middle, you feel like you're wading in water. Park the car across the street and it'll feel like you're being pushed back from the cemetery. Stand at the perimeter and you can hear voices from the back, right-hand corner. Tombstones date as far back to the early 1800s. A black hooded ghostly figure has been seen on several occasions."

I've heard about the haunted areas around the cemetery where the new houses are built. We parked across the street and stayed outside of the cemetery to avoid any problems with police that might be passing by. Mike took several pictures of the cemetery yielding no results. Jon decided to take a shot at it and took one picture across the street over a side walk passing through the woods near the new development. That's when he freaked out saying, "Let's get the hell out of here." He told Mike to get in the car and drive after jumping in the car himself. He was freaking out. When we asked him about it he said he heard faint voices right next to him and he could feel the hairs on the back of his neck standing up. He also said he heard something walking toward him but didn't see anything. This was immediately after he took the picture or the orb. The funny thing is Jon doesn't freak out about anything. So it was strange to see he wanting to get the hell out of there.

After that we called it a night just after midnight. We are definitely planning on going back and checking out a few other spots, specifically Blood Cemetery in Hollis, NH.
