  • Camping Checklist

    When you go camping, you will see those who over pack and those who under pack. Here are some of the essentials you may need.

    Tenant – choose a tent that handles well and all types of weather and terrain.

    Sleeping bag – choose one that has a temperature rating and is good and cold weather.

    Headrest – you can bring your own pillows from home, use inflatable pillows or fold up a towel.

    Reading material – there is nothing better to do at night then cut 11 your sleeping bag with a good book or magazine. Also perfect for rainy days.

    Sleeping caught – this is perfect for those people who do not like to sleep on the ground.

    Comforter – comforters are good on mild summer nights. You can sleep on top of your sleeping bag and cover up with the comforter.

    Water and food – be sure to bring water for both cooking as well as drinking.

    Ice chest – he sure to bring one large enough to store beverages and Paris a bowl food items.

    Camping stove – most campsites do have a grill but not all food items can be cooked on the grill.

    Mass kit – MS kit consists of pot, pans and utensils.

    Folding table and chairs

    Tablecloth and clips- these are used for the picnic tables provided at your campsite.

    Butane lighter- butane lighters are perfect for lighting camp stoves and starting charcoal.

    Screen room- perfect for when this is lots of bugs out or inclimate weather.

    Chuck box- sturdy box for common items such as salt and pepper, spices, potholders, napkins, paper towels, trash bags, tongs, spatula, foil paper, measuring cups and spoons, plastic utensils, corkscrew, cutting board, paper plates, Ziploc bags and plastic cups.

    First aid kit- your first aid kit should include Band-Aids, Tylenol, tape, gauze, antiseptic wipes, burn ointment, antiseptic cream, hydrogen peroxide, scissors, tweezers, eye wash and bug bite cream.

    Toiletries- toothbrush, toothpaste, washcloth, towels, soap, comb/brush, razor and nail clippers.

    Clothing- be sure to bring weather appropriate clothes: t-shirt, shorts, jeans, socks, underwear, sleeping items, shoes, boots, sweater, rain jacket, swimsuit and laundry bag.

    Miscellaneous items- these are items you may or may not need but it doesn’t hurt to have: binoculars, bug spray, bungi cords, camera, candles, deck of cards, board games, compass, duct tape, fishing gear, flashlight, kite, lantern, matches, rope and sun block.
