When is the foliage at its peak?

My question is about the Kanc....Planning a trip this upcoming weekend,October 15 2011. Was wondering if the foliage is past its peak or at its peak? Also, is Santas village close? Wanted to bring the kids while we were there. Thank you in advance for your help

The fall foliage is just slightly past peak on the Kancamagus Highway right now.

Santa's Village is closed this weekend. They're open the following 2 Saturday's for Halloween. Santa's Village closed their normal "off-season" weekend schedule last weekend ;(

We went there last weekend and were disappointed. It was just turning in some areas. The reports are that the foliage is turning later than usual, with this weekend reporting to be at peak at the Kancamangus.
