I have been losing bogie wheels from my 2004 Arctic Cat 800 for a few years now. Seems like every year I lose at least 1 of the bogie wheels.
Has anyone heard of this?
I have 3 Arctic Cats. From what I've learned the left side bogie wheel can ice up or get ice between the bogie wheel and the shaft and when you drive it, the bogie wheel simply unscrews itself and falls off.
Arctic Cat should have made this bogie wheel with left-handed threads to prevent this. Not sure if they came out with a replacement shaft for them or not but it would be nice!
Before you go on a long ride just check that left side bogie wheel with a wrench. Make sure it's tight and make sure its not frozen. If it it frozen spin it the opposite direction to free it up. Check it again if you stop for more than a few minutes, especially if its cold outside.
Aha! Yes, it was the left side on mine too! TY!
I see i am not the only person with left side bogie wheels falling off!
I'm having the same problem...
